Too Many Health Concerns? Maybe You Need a Glass of Red Wine
Advert 2
Wine is a millenary drink and has been present in much more historical events than any other alcoholic beverage. Sometimes you may be thinking that rumors about healthy wine properties are just lies when you and/or your husband wake up with an annoying hangover.
But wine can be much more than that. It just depends in how much wine you drink and how to drink it in a way that it would be a healthy habit long term. In other words, wine, although being an alcoholic beverage, can be very healthy if you know how frequently you drink it.
Moreover, it is obvious that drinking it in large quantities would be harmful for your health, as all drinks and foods in excess would be harmful for your health. But if you drink wine in a prudent way, you’ll be enjoying it by also seizing its healthy benefits.
In that order of ideas, if you don’t drink more than 1 glass per day you will enjoy these health benefits:
1. Lowering Cholesterol levels.
2. Lower risk of Heart Attack and strokes.
3. Decrease Cancer risk (ovarian specially).
4. Prevent ulcers.
5. Strengthen your bones (lower risk of osteoporosis).
6. Anti-aging properties (Resveratrol, a substance of wine proved to rejuvenate your cells and now widely use for the treatment of numerous diseases).
7. Prevent and slow the progression of neurological disorders as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
So if you don’t drink more than 1 drink (2 for men), per day, you will be seizing the healthy properties of wine and not making its drinking become an unhealthy habit. Nonetheless, if you are suffering either from migraine or high triglycerides it would be better to ask about this habit to a health professional.
In other cases, wine excess (being an alcoholic drink) could lead you to a breast cancer or obesity or worsen that previous condition.
Anyway, if you don’t drink wine in excess you would rather be likely to experience its healthy properties and therefore make your drinking experience a fun and now healthy habit.

Wine always gets a bad rap since it's technically alcohol. It's nice to hear about the benefits of drinking a glass every so often.
